Girl Scouts

Through DCA Girl Scouts, volunteers develop relationships with Newark-area troops in need of leadership assistance. Volunteers help regularly at meetings for Brownie or Junior scouts, preparing fun activities that help to complete badge work, serve the community, and increase girls' knowledge and confidence. Beyond work with individual troops, the Girl Scouts committee plans several educational events on campus that are open to all area troops, such as an afternoon at the planetarium or swimming workshops. The committee hosts a cookie booth in Slayter in the spring on behalf of the Newark-area troops with which we work.
